Hemp flour, from milling hemp seeds, is an exceptional raw material for preparing high nutrition meals. This remarkable flour has a high protein content (over 27%) and a spectrum that includes all 8 amino acids essential for protein synthesis in the human metabolism. It also contains essential fatty acids Omega 6 and Omega 3 in the right ratio of 3:1 as recognised and recommended by the WHO for a healthy and balanced diet. It is also a source of fibre, mineral salts such as sodium, calcium and potassium, vitamins E, B1 and B2, and phytosterols. In Italy the nutritional value of hemp was recognised by the Ministry of Health with circular 0015314 of 22 May 2009. With all these important properties, hemp has anti-inflammatory effects and contributes to strengthening the immune system. It also performs an antioxidant function, slowing down the aging process thanks mainly to vitamin E. This food should reduce the risk of high cholesterol, sinusitis, asthma and arthrosis.
